SUPERINTENDENT

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salaried position. Annual bonus and company vehicle. Plus, yearly ESOP contribution paid by the Company.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred. At least 5+ years supervisory, highway and bridge experience.

Essential Functions

1. Plan, organize and direct activities concerned with road and site construction projects.
2. Manage field operations and coordinate work with subcontractors.
3. Monitor and control project to ensure it is completed on schedule and within budget.
4. Coordinate with Project Manager to order supplies and materials to complete project.
5. Continuously monitor safety and provide assistance in addressing areas and conditions requiring attention.
6. Must have mechanical knowledge, mathematical skills, communication skills and be a team player.
7. Oversee field personnel, schedules and construction operations

Work Environment/Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
