SUPERINTENDENT
The Superintendent directs and manages activities of foreman and workers concerned with construction of various projects.
- Desired knowledge and/or skills: Blueprint and specification reading. Mathematics. Have knowledge, training and understanding to plan for every task to be preformed in a safe manner. Adheres to all requirements of Hall Contracting safety policy & procedures.
- Education: High School or GED. 5 yrs of experience as a superintendent. May be required to attend training to learn Company safety requirements.
- Supervised by: Project assigned supervisor.
Responsible for the Supervision of: Foreman, all field workers. Understands scope of work and recognizes when work goes beyond original scope. Assist Project Manager when extra work is performed.
- Essential job functions: Studies specifications and plans to plan procedures, materials, and equipment required for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Assembles workers at start of project. Confers with and directs foreman and subcontractors engaged in executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays. Inspects work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that construction schedules are adhered to. Prepares employee payroll forms, job cost updates and other job bookkeeping functions. Keeps daily records of work performed.

VII. Working conditions: Frequent exposure to weather, dust and fumes. Occasionally working in high or exposed places. Working in a LOUD noise intensity level.
