Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing coordination, and onboarding new employees.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and maintain employee personnel files.
- Process employment changes, terminations, and HR documentation.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee questions regarding benefits and company policies.
- Maintain HRIS and employee records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support payroll by tracking employee information and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, background checks, and drug testing.
- Assist with I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support training, employee recognition, and other HR initiatives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Perform other administrative and HR duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain discretion, integrity, confidentiality, and present self in a professional manner at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees, company vendors/suppliers and general public.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze the skills, knowledge, and experience of applicants
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS Systems, particularly VISTA is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years working in the human resources field.
- Construction, manufacturing, or other multi-location workforce experiences is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk.
- Able to work from a computer screen.
- Occasional walking and standing.
- Use of hands with controlled finger dexterity.
- Able to hear, speak and see.
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
