Job Description
This position includes various manual tasks associated with the asphalt paving operation. Applicants must have at least one year of related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Rake asphalt to proper grade and finish before compaction
Match and finish freshly made asphalt paving joints
Smooth and adjust surface irregularities in asphalt to restore surface finish
Assist the Screed Operator with maintaining the grade and screed extensions
Will perform other manual tasks as assigned per supervisor.

Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred

Other Job Functions
May assist other trades as directed by the job superintendent.

Physical Demands
Constantly - Activity exists 2/3 or more of the time:
*Standing *Hearing *Communicating

Frequently - Activity exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time:
*Stooping *Kneeling *Crouching
*Handling *Reaching *Fingering
*Climbing *Bending *Twisting
*Ability to judge distances *Clarity of vision at 20" or less

Occasionally - Activity exists up to 1/3 of the time:
*Balancing

Strength - Ability to exert and lift:
50 - 100 lbs of force occasionally
25 - 50 lbs of force frequently
10 - 20 lbs of force constantly

Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to weather, dust and fumes. Occasionally working in high or exposed places. Working in a LOUD noise intensity level.

Job Requirements
* Applicant must have at least 1 years experience

* Applicant must Have reliable transportation to and from job site
* Applicant must be willing to work varying hours and possible weekends.
* Applicant must be willing to travel
* Applicant must have no felonies in the last 7 years related but not limited to theft and violent crime
